PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A man died in an e-scooter crash on Sandalfoot Boulevard Wednesday night.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred when a Chevrolet SUV traveling westbound collided with an eastbound e-scooter. The rider, identified as 28-year-old Alexander Acevedo, was thrown from the scooter and pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The crash report notes that the SUV driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and charges are pending. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
