Driver killed in single-car crash into tree in Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A crash on South Arlington Avenue early Saturday morning has resulted in one fatality.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the incident in the 6200 block at approximately 6 a.m. The adult male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was at the scene.

Authorities stated that the driver appeared to have veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. South Arlington Avenue will remain closed for several hours as officials conduct their investigation.
