LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) — A vehicle crash in Tippecanoe County early Monday morning resulted in one fatality.
According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at approximately 2:41 a.m. to the intersection of State Road 26 East and County Road 900 East following reports of a single-vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased individual in a nearby field. The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim. Investigators indicated that the involvement of alcohol or drugs remains under investigation.
Emergency response teams remained on the scene to assist and conduct an investigation.
