Driver killed, another hospitalized in Southeast Columbus crash

One driver was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash on East Innis Avenue in Columbus on Oct. 24, 2025.

According to the Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit, the collision occurred at approximately 4:38 p.m. when a westbound Honda Civic collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck just east of Kelsey Avenue.

Both drivers were transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where the driver of the Honda was later . The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. The driver of the Chevrolet remained in stable condition.

This incident marks the second fatal crash in Columbus within 48 hours. On Oct. 22, an adult was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle that crashed into a stopped in the Easton area. Authorities stated the victim was at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital at 1:16 p.m. on Oct. 24, though their identity has not yet been released.
