Fatal Crash on Route 7 in New Haven, Vermont
NEW HAVEN, VT — A crash on Route 7 at Lime Kiln Road Monday evening led to one fatality and two serious injuries.
According to Vermont State Police, troopers responded around 7 p.m. to find a totaled Nissan Altima. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Sabrina A. Prim of Vergennes, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her passengers, 40-year-old Frances V. McDowell and 42-year-old Crystal L. Mayo, both from Ferrisburgh, suffered serious injuries. McDowell was taken to Porter Medical Center, while Mayo was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Police confirmed Prim was not wearing a seatbelt, while both passengers were secured.
US Route 7 was closed for approximately three hours during the investigation. Emergency responders included the Vergennes Police and Fire Departments, Addison County Sheriff's Department, Middlebury Police Department, New Haven Fire Department, Bristol Rescue Squad, Middlebury Regional EMS, and MiddState Towing.
