ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Robertson County jury convicted Lukas Lee Mansfield of multiple counts of aggravated vehicular homicide on May 7, 2026, for a crash that killed two siblings.
The incident occurred on January 10, 2025, on Highway 161 in northern Robertson County. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Mansfield was driving westbound when he veered off the road, struck a culvert, became airborne, and collided with a utility pole.
The victims, 7-year-old Miah Mansfield and 4-year-old Jackson Mansfield, were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that both children were unrestrained at the time of the incident.
Evidence presented during the trial indicated Mansfield's blood alcohol content was .151 post-crash, as reported by Robert Nash, District Attorney General of Tennessee's 19th Judicial District.
The trial, which took place from May 5 to May 7, concluded with jurors convicting Mansfield on multiple Class A felony counts. Sentencing is set for September 3, 2026.
Following the tragedy, the Robertson County community held memorials near the crash site, with ribbons and teddy bears placed in memory of Miah and Jackson. South Haven Christian School, which the children attended, referred to them as “cherished members” of their community.
District Attorney General Nash expressed gratitude for the prosecution team's efforts, stating, “Most importantly, we continue to remember Miah and Jackson Mansfield and keep their loved ones in our thoughts.”
