Driver faces serious charges following Grants Pass crash into residence.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A crash on February 19, 2026, resulted in serious charges for a local man after he crashed into a residence on Larch Road.

Michael Knitter, 38, was arrested and faces multiple charges, including DUII and Assault in the third degree. Emergency responders from Grants Pass Fire/Rescue and American Medical Response arrived at the scene to assist.

One individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the occupants of the home escaped unharmed, as the vehicle did not make contact with them.

In addition to DUII, Knitter has been charged with Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief. Authorities reiterated the dangers of impaired driving, stating that even slight intoxication can lead to severe consequences.
