LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A late-night crash on Oso Blanca Road resulted in a fiery vehicle incident that claimed the life of the driver, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The single-vehicle collision occurred Saturday at approximately 11:57 p.m. on Oso Blanca Road, south of Kyle Canyon Road. Authorities reported that a 2020 Ford Fusion was traveling northbound at a high speed when it failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the roadway, struck a raised dirt berm, and overturned, landing on its driver's side.
The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire, which was later extinguished. Emergency medical personnel confirmed the driver was beyond resuscitation, and lifesaving efforts were discontinued.
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is actively investigating the incident. This crash marks the 58th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2026.
