Martin County, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that resulted in two fatalities on State Road 710, near the FPL access road, Tuesday night.
According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), the roadway is currently closed. Reports indicate that the vehicle involved may have hydroplaned prior to the crash.
Traffic is being diverted to Southwest Warfield Boulevard and Southwest Martin Highway. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
This incident follows a separate double fatality crash earlier that day on the same road, just south of the Martin County Line, which is under the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction.
