A funeral for 27-year-old Jack Gersten, an Augusta University Medical College of Georgia student, was held Friday in Sandy Springs, Georgia, following his death in a March 7 crash.
The accident occurred on I-20 in Greene County, involving a single vehicle. Gersten's wife, 28-year-old Rebecca Adler, sustained injuries in the incident. The couple was married on December 14, 2025.
According to authorities, Gersten was pursuing a career in orthopedic surgery, while Adler is a nurse working towards her master's degree.
