25-Year-Old Woman Killed in Bloomington Crash Involving Possible Alcohol Use
BLOOMINGTON, MN — A 25-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash late Sunday night, with authorities indicating alcohol may be a factor.
According to Bloomington Police, the incident occurred at approximately 11:23 p.m. near the intersection of 86th Street East and Old Cedar Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers found the woman unresponsive in a sedan. Lifesaving measures were initiated, and she was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigations indicate the sedan, carrying the woman and a 29-year-old passenger from Bloomington, was traveling south on Old Cedar Avenue when it crossed the center line and collided with a northbound minivan. The minivan had two occupants: a 46-year-old driver from Maple Grove and a 51-year-old passenger from Bloomington. All three individuals from the minivan, along with the 29-year-old passenger, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Southdale Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the incident, and alcohol is being considered as a contributing factor in the crash.
