DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A 59-year-old man was killed in a pickup truck crash on Alabama Highway 219 this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:10 a.m., about three miles north of Selma. According to Alabama State Troopers, Leonard Parten, Jr., of Plantersville, was driving the truck when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Authorities reported that Parten was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing. No additional injuries were reported.
