SWANSEA, Mass. (WJAR) — Four individuals were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on Route 6 near Mason Street on March 31, 2026.
According to authorities, a pickup truck and an SUV collided around 2:41 p.m., resulting in one vehicle catching fire. The pickup truck suffered significant fire damage, while the SUV displayed noticeable front-end damage.
First responders reported that the driver of the burning vehicle managed to exit safely. All four injured individuals are expected to recover.
Traffic was temporarily blocked in both directions on Route 6 due to the incident, prompting lane closures as emergency crews worked at the scene. Towing operations followed to remove the damaged vehicles.
