ATTLEBORO, MA (Sunday, October 1, 2023) — Firefighters extricated an unresponsive driver following a single-vehicle crash that occurred around midnight near Angeline Street and Washington Street.
According to Attleborough Fire Chief Scott Lachance, crews arrived to find a vehicle significantly damaged after crashing into a retaining wall. The male driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and required rescue efforts lasting approximately 10 minutes.
Emergency personnel initiated CPR before transporting the driver to a Rhode Island hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Authorities reported that a dog was found deceased in the vehicle. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
