TOWN OF DEKORRA, Wis. (WKOW) — A head-on collision claimed the life of a 71-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, David Drunasky of Sun Prairie died at the scene of the crash on County Highway V at approximately 2:41 p.m. Preliminary investigations reveal that 19-year-old Lucas Zimmerman lost control of his SUV while navigating a curve, crossing the center line and colliding with Drunasky, who was heading in the opposite direction on his motorcycle.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after the accident. Zimmerman reportedly sustained no injuries from the impact. The authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details on lane closures or tows have been made available at this time.
