Traffic Collision on Route 54 Leaves Two Injured
Route 54 near Main Street was the site of a traffic collision on October 5 at approximately 3:15 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved three vehicles traveling westbound. Two individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Emergency responders from the Fire Department and the CHP arrived at the scene to assist. Lane closures were reported, with traffic being diverted for approximately 90 minutes while the area was cleared and an investigation commenced.
Authorities stated that preliminary investigations indicate speeding may have contributed to the crash. No fatalities were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
