One person died after a single-vehicle crash about 8:24 p.m. Monday in a construction zone on Harrison Avenue in South Fairmount, Cincinnati.
According to the Cincinnati Police Department, officers were dispatched to 1667 Harrison Ave. and found a car inside the active construction area.
Police said the driver crossed past a digital traffic sign and cones for a temporary lane, entered an open hole, and struck raised concrete.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, authorities said.
Police have not released the victim's identity and continue to investigate the crash.
