Cave Junction Man Dies in Fatal Crash.

CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. — A two- crash at the intersection of Highway 199 and Waldamar Road resulted in one fatality on Monday morning.

According to the Oregon State Police (OSP), the incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on May 19. A Corolla, driven by 24-year-old Hunter Lee Bryant of Cave Junction, failed to stop at a sign while entering Highway 199, leading to a collision with a southbound Yukon.

Bryant was at the scene. The driver, identified as 59-year-old Scott Adam Seaman of Selma, sustained minor injuries.

Emergency responders from the Illinois Valley Fire District (IVFD), AMR Josephine County, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, and OSP were dispatched to the crash site.

The accident caused significant delays in the southbound lanes of Highway 199, with congestion reported between 20 minutes and two hours. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) advised motorists to exercise caution and slow down in the area.
