Causeway Northbound Reopens Following Multi-Vehicle Crash
METAIRIE, La. — The northbound lanes of the Causeway reopened at approximately 2:41 p.m. after a crash involving at least four vehicles near Mile Marker 14.
According to Carlton Dufrechou, General Manager of the Causeway, one vehicle overturned and multiple individuals sustained injuries.
Emergency response teams, including local law enforcement and medical personnel, were on the scene to assist those injured. Towing services were also deployed to clear the vehicles involved in the incident.
Authorities did not provide further details on the extent of injuries or the ongoing investigation. Lane closures had previously been in effect during the response efforts.
