CLEAR LAKE, IA — July 30, 2026, 2:31 p.m. CT — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is investigating a boating fatality resulting from a collision on Clear Lake.
Two boats collided on the west end of Clear Lake, known locally as Little Lake, at approximately 8:30 a.m. today. Authorities confirmed that one individual was fatally injured in the incident; the identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Emergency responders, including the local fire department and medical personnel, arrived at the scene shortly after the collision. Additional information on injuries and the condition of involved parties is pending.
