BERTHOUD, CO – A lieutenant with the Berthoud Fire Protection District sustained serious injuries in a on Interstate 25 on Sunday morning.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near 20th Street, involving a wrong-way driver in the northbound HOV lane. That driver was at the scene, according to Denver Police Department preliminary findings; their identity is pending release by the medical examiner's office.

Lieutenant Ken Bradley suffered multiple severe injuries, including fractures in both legs and his left arm, a dislocated right shoulder, broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a leg laceration, and a concussion.
