Two military pilots safely ejected from a T-38 Talon II aircraft in rural Lamar County, West Alabama.
The incident, categorized as a “mishap,” occurred around noon. Pilots from Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi parachuted safely to the ground without reported injuries.
Authorities stated the precise location of the aircraft and the cause of the incident are under investigation. The Safety Investigation Board is expected to provide further updates.
Columbus Air Force Base, located in Lowndes County, Mississippi, is home to the 14th Flying Training Wing, which specializes in undergraduate pilot training.
