ASHLAND, NH — A driver was early Sunday following a vehicle crash and fire on Interstate 93, according to State Police.

The incident occurred around 2:41 a.m. in the northbound lane. A single vehicle was involved in the crash, which resulted in the vehicle catching fire upon impact. Emergency responders from Ashland Fire Department quickly arrived on the scene but were unable to revive the driver, who died at the scene.

Authorities have confirmed that the vehicle was traveling north when it lost control and crashed. The northbound lanes were temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup, resulting in significant delays.

No other injuries or vehicles were reported involved in the incident. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
