Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes I-94 Eastbound Near Sprinkle Road Exit
KALAMAZOO, MI – Eastbound Interstate 94 was fully shut down near the Sprinkle Road exit on October 7, 2025, following a significant crash involving at least eight vehicles, including a semi-truck, a utility vehicle, and five personal cars.
According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS), the collision occurred around 11:37 a.m. and resulted in severe traffic disruptions. First responders arrived promptly at the scene to assess the situation and provide medical aid.
No injuries or fatalities have been confirmed at this time, authorities said. Both the Sprinkle Road exit and the Portage Road onramp were closed to facilitate emergency operations. Towing services were deployed to clear the wreckage and reopen the lanes.
