Columbus Teen Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 10
A 15-year-old boy from Columbus died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 10 near Park City on Saturday, October 4, 2025, just before 11:00 p.m.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), the teen was driving a Ford F-150 in the westbound lane when he encountered a stopped vehicle. The boy swerved to avoid a rear-end collision, clipped the stopped vehicle, and then struck a Kenworth semi-truck head-on.
The Ford F-150 caught fire, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen's name has not been released. MHP confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities reported that the two other drivers involved in the crash, including a 69-year-old man from Fishtail, were uninjured. MHP indicated that alcohol is a suspected factor in the incident; however, the specific driver involved has not been disclosed.
Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
