NORTH CHARLESTON — All lanes on Interstate 26 eastbound reopened following a multi-vehicle crash near the Ashley Phosphate Road offramp on July 14.
Authorities said the two leftmost lanes were blocked for approximately one hour as a firetruck attended to the scene. The collision involved multiple vehicles, but details on the circumstances and injuries remain unconfirmed.
Traffic was reported stalled for miles near mile marker 209 prior to the crash. As of 8 a.m., traffic began to return to normal flow.
Emergency services responded promptly, but further details on the extent of the injuries and ongoing investigations have yet to be released.
