A serious crash on eastbound I-70 near the 132.2-mile marker occurred Saturday afternoon, leaving one man critically injured.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. as a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Elbert Allen of Columbia struck a guardrail, according to the Columbia Police Department (CPD).
Allen was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased, authorities said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
