LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A person is in custody following a hit-and-run collision involving a motorcycle that closed all lanes of I-265 West Friday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on I-265 W near Bardstown Road. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), a pickup truck struck a motorcycle and fled the scene.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck was later identified and taken into custody.
The highway was closed for approximately one hour due to the crash. The investigation is being handled by LMPD's Seventh Division.
