WEST RUTLAND, Vt. — A man was found dead early Friday morning following a suspected hit-and-run crash on Main Street.
Authorities identified the victim as Devin Pierro, 30, of West Rutland. His body was discovered around 5:25 a.m. beside Main Street near Whipple Hollow Road, according to the Vermont State Police.
Investigators believe Pierro was walking when he was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene. The specific make and model of the vehicle have not been determined, but police noted it likely has damage to the passenger side headlight.
