Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident in West Rutland, Vermont
WEST RUTLAND, Vt. — A 30-year-old man was found deceased in a suspected hit-and-run incident early Friday morning.
Authorities identified the victim as Devin Pierro, whose body was discovered around 5:25 a.m. on Main Street, near Whipple Hollow Road. Vermont State Police report that Pierro had been walking when he was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.
Investigators confirmed that the vehicle involved is unknown but would likely have damage to its passenger side headlight.
