OGDEN, Utah (KUTV) — A driver suspected of DUI was injured after crashing into a parked car and subsequently into a carport on Monroe Blvd. on October 9 at approximately 2:41 p.m.
According to Lt. Keyes with the Ogden Police Department, the driver struck a parked vehicle occupied by two people near 3031 Monroe Blvd. His vehicle then collided with the carport of a nearby residence, landing on top of him.
The driver sustained a head laceration and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The occupants of the parked car, described as shaken, sustained minor injuries including bumps and bruises, Lt. Keyes reported.
The incident resulted in lane closures while emergency responders and investigators assessed the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
