CUMBERLAND COUNTY, ME – A motorcycle crash on Convene Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuesday resulted in one fatality and one serious injury, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
The incident involved 63-year-old Ernest Poulos, who crossed the centerline and collided with a Chevrolet SUV. Poulos suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at a Bridgton hospital.
His passenger, 62-year-old Mary Delaney of Sebago, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Portland. The SUV's driver, Thomas Nolan, reported minor injuries from the collision.
Authorities confirmed that neither Poulos nor Delaney was wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
