HAZEL GREEN, Wis. (WKOW) — Two people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway Z and State Highway 11 on June 19.
According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred around 12:41 p.m. James Ashmore, 78, of Livingston was traveling east on State Highway 11 while Eli Lassen, 22, of Dubuque, Iowa was southbound on County Highway Z.
Authorities reported that Lassen failed to yield the right of way, pulling onto State Highway 11 into Ashmore's path, resulting in a collision. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
Emergency responders transported Ashmore and his passenger to the hospital, while Lassen was uninjured. Lassen received a citation for failing to yield from a stop sign.
The investigation is ongoing.
