Wrong-Way Crash on I-290 in Northborough Causes Serious Injuries
NORTHBOROUGH, MA — A wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle on Interstate 290 Wednesday night, resulting in serious injuries.
According to State Police, multiple 911 calls reported a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-290. The incident occurred near Mile Marker 29, where the wrong-way driver struck an eastbound vehicle.
Authorities reported at least one person was hospitalized as a result of the crash. I-290 East is currently closed, with traffic being diverted at Exit 27 to Church Street to manage congestion.
