Motorcyclist ejected 65 feet from bike in I-293 crash in Manchester, officials report.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A motorcyclist is in extremely critical condition after a crash on I-293 North early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., authorities received reports of a abandoned in the roadway near Granite Street on the off-ramp from I-293 North. Upon investigation, responders discovered that the rider had been over the guardrail and fell approximately 65 feet, landing on the bank of the Merrimack River after colliding with trees.

The rider, the only occupant of the , suffered catastrophic injuries, including multi-system trauma. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene just before 2 a.m.

Witnesses reported a significant police presence and saw a motorcycle on its side in the roadway. The scene was cleared, and the exit was reopened around 4 a.m.
