A 15-year-old bicyclist from Franklin died Tuesday afternoon following a crash with a vehicle on King Street, near the Interstate 495 off-ramp.
Franklin Police responded to the scene around 2:41 p.m. and confirmed the victim was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
Emergency responders, including at least six cruisers, were on-site, cordoning off the area with police tape.
Authorities reported that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The Franklin Police Department expressed condolences in a statement, extending sympathy to the victim's family and friends during this tragic incident.
