An elderly man was hospitalized following a vehicle crash in Callaway County on Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 10:12 a.m. on Old U.S. 54, south of Route AE.
According to authorities, a 76-year-old Ashland man was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado when he experienced a medical condition and collided with the rear of a 2015 Ford Expedition.
The driver of the Ford, a 57-year-old woman from Jefferson City, sustained no injuries.
Emergency Medical Services transported the Ashland man to a hospital with minor injuries.
MSHP confirmed that the Jefferson City woman was wearing her seatbelt at the time, while the Ashland man was not.
