PITTSBURG, N.H. — Two Canadian tourists were seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a deer on Route 3 just before 1 p.m. Monday.
According to New Hampshire State Police, the accident occurred near the Canadian Port of Entry. Both individuals were ejected from the motorcycle but were wearing helmets.
The motorcycle operator was airlifted to a hospital in Maine, while the passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both have sustained serious injuries.
Route 3 experienced temporary lane closures as emergency responders dealt with the incident and cleared the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
