Three-Vehicle Crash Near Georgetown Claims Life of 52-Year-Old Driver
GEORGETOWN, DE—A three-vehicle crash on Old Furnace Road claimed the life of 52-year-old Jon Jefferson on June 19 at approximately 7:20 a.m.
According to Delaware State Police, Jefferson, a resident of Lincoln, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when the accident occurred, west of Rementer Road. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene but pronounced Jefferson dead upon arrival.
Authorities reported that two additional vehicles were involved in the collision; however, details regarding injuries to their occupants remain unconfirmed. The accident prompted lane closures for an extended period as investigators assessed the scene.
