At approximately 2:42 p.m., a crash on the Garden State Parkway blocked two northbound lanes just south of Exit 89A, according to 511nj.org. This incident resulted in a 16-mile backup, with motorists facing delays of nearly one hour, extending from Exit 82 to Exit 98 as of 3:30 p.m.
Travelers heading to the Sea Hear Now festival in Asbury Park can also expect slow conditions, as several streets in the area are closed. Ocean Avenue is restricted between 7th and 4th Avenues, 5th Avenue is closed between Ocean Avenue and Kingsley Street, and Webb Street is shut down between Sunset Avenue and 5th Avenue.
