Pregnant Woman Dies After SUV Crash and Shooting at Sturbridge Hotel
STURBRIDGE, Mass. — A pregnant woman died following a shooting incident that occurred after an SUV she was driving crashed into a hotel early Thursday.
According to authorities, the woman allegedly drove to the hotel seeking two acquaintances. Preliminary investigations reveal she exited the vehicle and fired multiple shots, critically injuring a hotel guest who was not the intended target.
Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. stated that responding officers found the guest with an apparent gunshot wound near the hotel entrance. The victim was transported to Harrington Hospital and subsequently airlifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Witnesses reported the woman shouting before the shooting. One witness described her as asking loudly for specific individuals before discharging her weapon.
