CINCINNATI — David Logan, 39, died Tuesday morning in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 421 in Trimble County, Kentucky, south of Carrollton.
According to Kentucky State Police, a 29-year-old woman driving a Volvo crossed the center line and collided with Logan's vehicle. The driver and three children in her car were flown to hospitals in Louisville with serious injuries.
Logan lived in Lawrenceburg with his wife and son and was known as a prominent figure in Cincinnati's creative community. He regularly performed DJ sets at Doubt It in Covington's Mainstrasse Village, where news of his death has caused deep sorrow.
Mike Mercer, owner of the Doubt It bar, remembered Logan, who performed under the stage name D-Lo, as a “true light” whose talent left a lasting impression on many. He noted, “He could turn a stranger into a friend in a single off-the-wall set.”
The crash remains under investigation. A roadside market owner reported that Logan was en route to print labels for his graphic design work.
