Vehicle Crash in Bath County Injures Multiple Individuals
OWINGSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — A vehicle crash in Bath County on September 6 resulted in several injuries, prompting an investigation by Kentucky State Police.
At approximately 7 p.m., troopers from KSP Post 8 Morehead observed a Nissan Altima speeding in the westbound lane of I-64. As officers initiated a traffic stop, the Altima exited the highway at exit 121 and subsequently collided with a minivan at the intersection of KY 36.
Two occupants of the minivan were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The four juveniles in the Altima were also taken to various hospitals for their injuries.
Authorities indicated that criminal charges are pending as the incident remains under investigation.
