EVERETT, Mass. —
Four individuals, including three juveniles, were arrested Monday afternoon following a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in Everett.
A Flock camera detected a stolen white Audi in the Lower Broadway area. Additional police units responded, and a traffic unit activated lights on the vehicle, which was caught in gridlock, according to Everett Police Chief Paul Strong.
The driver attempted to evade by colliding with two to three other cars before ultimately stopping. The four occupants, one adult and three juveniles, exited the vehicle and were apprehended by law enforcement.
Several firearms were recovered from inside the Audi. Izmyr LaForest, a nearby resident, described the scene as alarming, saying, “There was a lot of commotion – I saw that there was a white car and the front was completely smashed in. It's concerning, the safety around here.”
The incident led to the temporary closure of Lower Broadway as police gathered evidence. This situation occurred near Encore Casino, where a similar recent incident involved police shooting and arresting a man after he stole and crashed a garbage truck in a multi-town pursuit.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into Monday's crash.
