Motorcyclist critically injured in crash on U.S. Highway 14.

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WKOW) — A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash on U.S. Highway 14 Sunday evening.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at approximately 8 p.m. to reports of a disabled motorist at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and Eden Valley Lane. Upon arrival, they found 41-year-old Paul E. Remer of Richland Center lying unconscious on the roadway; his motorcycle was discovered in a nearby ditch.

Deputies administered lifesaving measures until Richland EMS arrived on the scene. Remer was subsequently transported to Richland Hospital before being via MedFlight to UW Health in Madison, where he remains in critical condition.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
