7-Year-Old Girl Killed in Winter Haven Crash on Cypress Gardens Road
Winter Haven, Florida (July 1, 2023) – A 7-year-old girl was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Winter Haven on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The fatal crash occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, on Cypress Gardens Road.
According to the authorities, a pickup truck, occupied by the girl and her father, was traveling southbound on Cypress Gardens Road behind a Chevrolet Cobalt.
As the Cobalt slowed down to turn left, the pickup truck tried to pass on the left. The Cobalt hit the pickup truck, which overturned.
The 7-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. Her father had no serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
