A Versailles man died in a vehicle crash in Morgan County Friday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 2 p.m. on Route W, north of Old Marvin Cutoff Road. According to the crash report, a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado travelling southbound failed to negotiate a curve.
The truck veered off the left side of the roadway, striking two highway signs and impacting a creek bed, resulting in the vehicle overturning. The 66-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
MSHP confirmed the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. No additional vehicles were involved. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
