NORFOLK, Va. — A man was hospitalized with severe gunshot wounds following a two-car crash on Wednesday night at the Melon and Goodman Street intersection, according to Norfolk Police.
Authorities responded to the scene at 7:07 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident.
A parked car was struck in the collision; the driver of the other vehicle fled before police arrived. The passenger in the fleeing vehicle sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.
