Delray Beach, Florida (May 9, 2023) – One person was killed in an early Tuesday morning crash at Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 at Linton Boulevard.

Per the report, a Freightliner truck driven by a 50-year-old Boca Raton man rear-ended a 2014 Dodge Caravan.

After the initial crash, a 2020 Camry slammed into the semi's trailer.

The semi's driver was declared dead at the crash site.

The Caravan driver, a 56-year-old from Lawrenceville, Georgia, and a 62-year-old Camry driver sustained no injuries in the accident.

At least three southbound lanes were closed due to the collision.

The traffic was diverted to Congress Avenue, Military Trail, or Florida's Turnpike.

An investigation is underway.
