Police are looking for the van driver involved in a hit-and-run that injured a bicyclist.

MADISON (WKOW) — Authorities are seeking the driver of a involved in a collision with a bicyclist on Sunday night.

Officers responded to the intersection of E. Washington Avenue and N. Blount Street at approximately 10:20 p.m., according to the Madison Police Department. A 23-year-old male cyclist was riding in the bike lane on inbound E. Washington Avenue when a van traveling south on N. Blount Street moved into his path.

The cyclist attempted to swerve but was unable to avoid a collision. Following the incident, the van fled the scene.

Traffic specialists identified the vehicle as a newer model red or maroon Voyager or Pacifica, equipped to be handicap accessible.
